When your Injury list contains reads like a 1st XI and you need to steady the ship that's when players you realise the value of Snodders style players.

Glad he has signed. For all the reasons previously stated.

Earned it.

Good luck to the fella. He worked his socks off last season and showed some quality on the ball at times, too.

He's won the crowd over by showing that if you give absolutely everything to West Ham then the fans back you. As it should be.

Re: Snodgrass 1 year contract extension
Well deserved imo. Put a real shift in last season and proved himself a very capable central midfielder when we were looking very light in that department after the injuries to Sanchez, Wilshere, and Lanzini. Good solid pro and I can imagine a popular lad in the changing room

Well deserved.

I hope he gives the dwarf and family the middle finger every time he walks past them.

Well deserved, I thought he’d be off to somewhere like Leeds.

I’d much rather him in the team, who gives his all, and plays with a smile on his face, than the stroppy cunt who pines for China.

Fair play to him for turning things around like that. It shows that he has great mental strength.

Re: Snodgrass 1 year contract extension
Had we sold him this season, it wouldn't have been the end of the world.

But, i like him.

After the way he was belittled by the board, he came back and showed what he's made of. He's a very good steady pro who completely understands what West Ham is all about. He's worth his wait in gold. What he lacks in technical ability (that's not to say he's a bad footballer) he makes up by instilling camaraderie, character and excellent work rate to the team - you can't underestimate that.

If everyone is fit and playing well, he won't play every game, but when he does, it won't be a bad thing.

Well done Robert Snodgrass.

I love you man!!

* wells up *

Re: Snodgrass 1 year contract extension
He's not a bad squad player who can play a variety of positions, good attitude and work ethic also. Get the impression he's very well liked within the squad and possibly one of the managers generals in the dressing room.

I do hope however that were a bit luckier with injuries this season and do not have to rely on him too much as a starter.

But I will say that the likes of him and Antonio do provide balance to the squad. They can be particularly useful if the more 'technical' players are either having an off day or are struggling against one of the more physical sides.

Re: Snodgrass 1 year contract extension
Cant begrudge him that, he played well past season and after he wasnt really given a chance originally his attitude was spot on.

Probably an excellent player to have in the changing room as well.

They can't all be young latinos. We need the likes of Snodgrass in th squad.

Experience, determined professional attitude, and no little skill.

Plus, he has got the soul we need at the club, as it was Noble and him that flew down to Spain to see Isla and stayed the unexpected night when it turned out she was too ill to see them the day they arrived.

Nice one, Snodders. Welcome extention.

I think this could also be down to the club getting a fee for him next summer if he goes then.

Re: Snodgrass 1 year contract extension
You need players like him in the squad. Great attitude. Has quality and is a grafter. I think he looks better more central these days.

People moaning and saying how they had hoped for fast free flowing football would do well to look at how James Milner is used at Liverpool. Snodgrass is basically 'our Milner', if that makes sense.

Nb. Of course this only applies if you have enough quality and pace in your forward line.
